PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A demonstration facility,
the Columbus Water Works is a new entity in wet weather pollution problems,
seen as the target of the next environmental initiative. Developed through
collaborative efforts of municipalities, regulatory agencies, research
institutions, equipment manufacturers and consultants, is being continued
through a full-scale demonstration program. With superior engineering
by a host of special firms, this new CSO has already become an international
model. This beautiful public park is a
wonderful example of how water treatment facilities can be an attractive part
of the community while carrying on trend-setting types of water treatment
functions (CSO). Our involvement in the
Columbus Advanced Demonstration Facility, was to provide the architectural
design for the three buildings on the site.
